Food, fun and, of course, beer

Last Saturday’s Oktoberfest was a fun event – our Bavarian photo booth proved really popular, and the food and, of course, the German beer went down a treat.

Here is what we served:

Starters:

Bavarian sharing platter of cold meats and smoked cheese
Obazda (a creamy cheese dish)
served with Pretzels

Mains:

Bavarian Pork Roast in Beer Gravy
Pot Roast Beef in Red Wine Gravy
Bavarian Creamy Mushrooms (v)
served with braised red cabbage, Sauerkraut and mixed veg
Spätzle (Bavarian noodles), roast potatoes

Dessert:

Bavarian Cream
Lebkuchenherzen (ginger bread hearts)
Apple Tart
Caramalised Almonds
